•OCTOBER 04, 2001 Canon Announces New Cameras, Printer PowerShot S40 offers 4 megapixel resolution Canon USA has introduced two digital cameras and a new Bubble Jet Direct printer that supports printing directly from a digital camera. The cameras are the new S40 and S30, which offer 4.0 megapixel and 3.2 megapixel resolutions, respectively. The Bubble Jet Direct S820D supports both of the new cameras through a proprietary cable. The new release, which the company says will support Mac OS X 10.1 (as well as OS 9), is scheduled to ship in the fourth quarter of this year.
