Midiman/M-Audio today announced support in Mac OS X 10.1 for their entire line of Delta digital audio interfaces. Latency for the OS 10.1 drivers is reported to be as low as 40 samples, which translates to a latency time of approximately 1 ms. Major update arrives Saturday


Apple today announced the long-awaited Mac OS X 10.1 update, which is the release expected to plug many of the larger holes left in the initial version of Mac OS X. Apple said today that customers will be able to pick up free update CDs from computer retailers or purchase the update from the Apple Store for $20. The CDs should be available in stores Saturday. Models available with FireWire or USB 2.0 interfaces


Yamaha has started shipping two new CD burners, including its third-generation FireWire model and a USB 2.0 model. Both of the new external units offer 20x CD recording capabilities, along with 10x rewrite and 40x read. They can also rip audio CDs at 40x.
