Boost Mobile Introduces Exclusive Motorola i855 Phone Featuring New Walkie-Talkie Feature (November 02, 2005)

Boost Mobile added the Motorola i855 phone to its line up of youth-oriented handsets. Offered exclusively from Boost Mobile, the Motorola i855 features the latest enhancement to the Boost Walkie-Talkie.

Using the Nationwide Boost Walkie-Talkie users can quickly exchange pictures. After a picture is transferred between two users, the picture is displayed on both handsets during every Boost Walkie-Talkie call between those two users until the picture is deleted, cleared from the screen or another picture is sent.

The new carbon fiber finish phone also comes equipped with a 4x digital zoom camera, Picture Editor, large color screen (176 x 220), Java(R)-enabled games and applications, Boost(TM) Multi-Media Messaging, Text Messaging, and Wireless Web, polyphonic, music and voice ringtones, and GPS functionality.

"Boost strives to meet the needs of its trend setting youth customers with fresh and original wireless products," said Roberto Loria, director of retail product marketing, Boost Mobile. "The sleek and stylish Motorola i855 not only looks cool but offers the latest features and technology such as a 4x digital zoom camera, Boost Walkie-Talkie, Push to View, GPS capabilities and much more."

Picture Editor, a new feature offered only on the Motorola i855, gives Boost users the ability to format, edit and crop pictures directly from their phone. In addition, the Motorola i855 comes with preloaded Java(R)-enabled games and applications such as Fox Boxing, Asphalt Urban G.T., Block Breaker, Boost TV(TM), Boost(TM) Messenger (instant messaging) and TeleNav(TM) (GPS navigation). Additional Java(R)-enabled games and applications can be downloaded directly from the Motorola i855 phone or from Boost LIVE, a virtual video game arcade available on the Boost Mobile Web site (www.BoostLIVE.com).

As with all phones available from Boost Mobile, the Motorola i855 also includes Boost Walkie-Talkie, which offers instant nationwide communication at the touch of a button. By pressing the walkie-talkie button on the side of the phone, users can connect to anyone from anywhere on Nextel's National Network, in less than one second, for distances of thousands of miles. Boost Walkie-Talkie is $1.50 per day for unlimited national usage, and the charge applies only when the service is used.

In addition, the Motorola i855 is showcased in Boost's cutting-edge "Pivotal Moments" ad campaign featuring platinum selling Hip-Hop recording artists Eve and Fat Joe, which launched this summer on national cable networks.

The Motorola i855 from Boost Mobile is available starting Nov. 1 at www.boostmobile.com, popular national retailers and convenience stores, such as Best Buy for a suggested retail price of $224.99.
