Digital Jesters Supports AGEIA physX Technology Agreement ensures full-spectrum physics action in Digital Jesters? next-generation game titles (August 16, 2005)

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif  ? At GC 2005, AGEIA? Technologies, Inc., the pioneer in hardware-accelerated physics for games, today announced that Digital Jesters has signed a publisher-wide agreement with AGEIA to license the AGEIA physX?  SDK and utilize the AGEIA physX? processor for its next-generation games. The first of these is Bet on Soldier: Blood Sport, a futuristic first-person shooter with a twist?the combatants kill for cash in a televised reality-show-from-hell, and players can wager in-game money on whether they can defeat an opponent in a certain time period.

Digital Jesters developer Kylotonn used the AGEIA physX SDK for all the physics-based content in Bet on Soldier: Blood Sport.  In addition, Kylotonn included advanced features specifically designed for hardware acceleration by AGEIA?s physX processor, which will be available on PC add-in boards by late 2005. Current and future Digital Jesters titles will also support the AGEIA physX processor, including Dogtag.

?Our philosophy is simple at Digital Jesters?we want to publish the best games available, and AGEIA is helping us fulfill that goal with the unrivalled physics capabilities of AGEIA physX technology,? said Leo Zullo, marketing director and cofounder of Digital Jesters. ?With several major releases right around the corner, we?re anticipating an enthusiastic response to the physics capabilities in these new titles.?

Bet on Soldier: Blood Sport is set for release in the U.K. on September 9th 2005, and in the U.S. on September 12th 2005. Dogtag is planned for release in May 2006.

?Digital Jesters is a leading games publisher in the UK and has a solid strategy for expanding internationally,? said Andy Keane, vice president of marketing at AGEIA. ?Their developers are first-rate and their commitment to new technology is unmatched, which makes Digital Jesters and AGEIA a great team for advancing the level of realism and excitement in tomorrow?s game titles.?

About AGEIA
AGEIA? Technologies, Inc. is a fabless semiconductor company and the pioneer of hardware-accelerated physics for games. Its flagship product, the physX processor, is the world?s first dedicated physics processing unit ? a completely new hardware category. The physX processor and supporting software deliver the processing horsepower to calculate real-time interactive worlds. Developers can define these worlds to obey the laws of classical physics, or create their own physical laws that make their game a unique, hyper-dimensional experience.

AGEIA seeks to ignite innovation in the games industry by working with leading developers, publishers, add-in board vendors and console manufacturers to deliver the next generation of physically immersive entertainment. Consumer add-in boards and systems equipped with the AGEIA physX processor and games that take advantage of the technology will be available in late 2005.  For more information visit www.ageia.com.
