Weekly Download: Expression Strokes, Series 3 35 natural media brushes By Dave Nagel It's quite obvious that Creature House Expression 3 is growing in Momentum. Each time I post a new article about this application, I receive a ton of requests for more information and, of course, more free addons. Hence this week's collection of free skeletal strokes.

Our collection this time around--Nagel Series 3 Expression Brushes--moves into the area of natural media emulation. As with all of my collections for Expression so far, I wouldn't say this one is perfect, but it does offer you a good range of natural media effects--35 total strokes in five categories--so you should be able to find at least a few in there that will be useful for you. Also, based on a number of requests, this time around I've made all of the brushes using the grayscale method, so you will be able to color them as you see fit. I've also used fairly large source images for these brushes, so you'll be able to pull out adequate detail even when using thick strokes.



The five categories of these brushes are Creamy Bristle, Rough Chalk, Textured Chalk, Charcoal and Bristle Brush. Here's a sampling of what you'll get.
