LOS ALTOS, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/18/12 -- yap.TV, the leader in social television, in conjunction with the "Choose Your America" campaign founded by Richard Greene, hosted a live second screen simulcast with Ian Somerhalder, actor for the hit series The Vampire Diaries, on yap.TV for iOS. The simulcast enabled fans to watch Ian and engage with him as he watched the Presidential debate live Tuesday night between President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney.
"yap.TV really delivered in bringing thousands of my fans together to watch the debate with me in a forum where we could interact and share the viewing experience," said Ian Somerhalder. "We all need to realize that each and every vote counts, and that we are collectively deciding on our future."
yap.TV's social platform brings together TV fans around TV content, and offers a host of features designed to extend the consumer experience on the second screen.
