"Ideaing" Authors Warn of New Threats Facing Intellectual Property Rights(September 07, 2011)

The importance and value of intellectual property is becoming clear. It is time for Americans to pursue getting some IP of their own. The lesson here is to be the first to invent, and prove it. The U.S. has what is called the first to invent law. If two entrepreneurs come up with the same idea, and one of them can prove that they came up with it first, it gives them a leg up on protecting their idea. This is why it is so important for people to keep a very detailed log when they think of a new idea. This inventors log is simply a notebook dedicated to a particular idea.
