inRESONANCE Delivers PORTAL 4(February 23, 2011)
Northampton, MA (PRWEB) February 23, 2011
inRESONANCE (iR), a leading developer of technology solutions for schools and educational institutions, today announced iR PORTAL 4, the next generation of iR's comprehensive solution for admissions and enrollment management.
"iR PORTAL is the premier administrative tool for managing independent school admissions and enrollment," said Kevin J. McAllister, founder and CEO of inRESONANCE. "Time-tested in more than 200 schools around the world for over a decade, PORTAL 4 has now been updated to meet customers' most-requested features and take advantage of the advancements in FileMaker® Pro 11. New functionality includes mobile versions for iPad and iPhone, built-in appointment scheduling, built-in charting, improved broadcast email functionality, and more."
Take PORTAL 4 information "to go" with the iPhone or iPad
PORTAL 4 is now available in mobile versions for the iPhone and iPad using FileMaker Go, the iOS version of FileMaker Pro. PORTAL 4 provides mobile access to PORTAL 4 databases residing on a Mac or PC using a local wireless network or over the Internet via Wi-Fi or 3G. All changes are instantly updated in the hosted file. Adding new contacts or other information can now be accomplished on the road and automatically uploaded into PORTAL 4.
Streamlined communication and marketing
PORTAL 4 offers updated features for communications and marketing. Users can produce merged letters and labels with ease - email merge is built into the solution, alleviating the need to export contacts to a website system or to an additional product. Users simply select any group and send individual, personalized emails to everyone in the group in a single click. Email functionality within the new BROADCASTER 3 email blast program includes Broadcast Link Tracker (BLT) to help measure marketing efforts and ensure appropriate follow-up.
"With each new release, inRESONANCE continues to show that PORTAL is the leading database on the market for admission offices of all sizes. The newest features in PORTAL 4 enhance an already robust system that addresses the needs of today's data driven admission process," said Tom Sheppard, director of admissions for The Stevenson School. "It's hard to beat PORTAL's ability to provide real time data through IPads and IPhones utilizing FileMaker Go, and the enhanced BROADCASTER email program greatly improves any school's ability to quickly communicate important news to a target audience while tracking results all along the way."
Additional features for enhanced productivity gains with Portal 4 include:
- Enhanced reporting and charting: Improved reporting and charting capabilities enable users to run reports and create eye-catching charts at the touch of a button to aid in strategic planning, performance visibility and more.
- New calendar for admission appointments: The integrated appointment calendar provides instant, at-a-glance access to the office interview schedule, and also posts appointments within each applicant's file.
- Updates to Portal Web Services (PWS): Enhanced merge capabilities as well as click-through tracking.
Based on FileMaker Pro 11
The PORTAL solution is based on the award-winning FileMaker Pro 11, the #1 selling easy-to-use database platform. Millions of people, from individuals to some of the world's largest companies, rely on FileMaker software to manage, analyze and share essential business information.
