iPIX Launches Interactive Studio

RealViz develops fish-eye lens stitcher plugin for new suite By Dave Nagel
iPIX has launched its iPIX Interactive Studio for North America. Interactive Studio is a suite of tools for the creation of 360-degree panoramic images and movies. The company has also collaborated with RealViz for the creation of a fish-eye lens stitching plugin for the suite. Both are available for Mac OS X and Windows.

iPIX Interactive Studio is a platform for creating 360-degree panoramic images. The Studio was developed for expandability, offering the ability to load new modules for additional functionality without reinstalling the software. As a modular solution, it's available in four base configurations. The Essentials Pack includes input for fisheye and flat images, stitching for fisheye images (developed by RealViz, maker of Stitcher) and various property and output options, such as, flat images, iPIX images and others. It sells for $899.

The Enhancer Pack, which sells for $1,799, offers input for bubble projection, cube face images, equirectangular projection, fisheye, flat images and QuickTime Cubic Panorama. It also includes paint tools, filters (levels, brightness/contrast, levels, sharpen/blur) and various other output, property, stitching and combining tools.

The Edit Pack, which sells for $499, includes paint tools and filters, along with an iPIX HDR combining tool. And the Format Pack, also $499, offers input and output of bubble projection, cube face, cube strip, equirectangular, fisheye, flat and QuickTime Cubic Panorama files.
