hsr/ny Unleash(es) the Raspberry for Absolut

For Absoluts new Unleash the Raspberry  campaign, hsr/nys Fernando Ascani mixed a pool of  four :30s (David Ellis, Maya Hayuk, Phil Frost and Kenji Hirata) and one  3:00 film (Unleash)  which were developed by TBWAChiatDay  (New York, NY). The four  :30s for Absoluts first foray into television advertising  rolled out September 5th  on national cable. The 3:00 film will appear on the brands Web site.

The Unleash the Raspberry campaign features the work of four celebrated New York-based artists who visually interpret the Swedish vodka makers newest flavor, Absolut Raspberri.

Phil Frost

Through time-lapse photography, each of the spots shows us the creative process as, one by one, the four artists interpret the new vodka flavor. Each spot ends with the bottle being scrubbed clean in preparation for the next   artists interpretation.

Kenji Hirata

For the campaign, hsr/ny Mixer Fernando Ascani completed the audio post utilizing Digidesign Pro Tools with ProControl. Representing TBWAChiatDay were John Hunt, Worldwide Creative Director; Patrick ONeill, Executive Creative Director; Gail Barlow, Copywriter; Lauren Harwell, Art Director; Laura Ferguson, Producer; and Nancy Espinal, Business Manager.

David Ellis

The campaign was lensed at Broadway Stages (Long Island City, NY) by Go Film (New York, NY) and first-time Director David Ellis (a.k.a. ?Squirm in graffiti art circles), DP/Lighting Director Roger Tonry, Executive Producer Robert Wherry, Associate Head of Production Sandy Newman and Line Producer George Fares. The editorial assignment was completed at Origami Edit (New York, NY) by Editor/Creative Director Alex Lebedev.

Maya Hayuk

Riot! Manhattan (New York, NY) Visual Effects Artist Jay Tilin onlined. The musical underscore was created by the British multi-vocalist and beat-box artist Killa Kela and recorded in Vancouver, British Columbia.
