hsr ny Mixers Bill Higley and Roy Latham Help Voice Robots
On the heels of their successful collaboration on Ice Age, from the talented folks at the Academy AwardŽ winning Blue Sky Studios (White Plains, NY), hsr/ny dialogue mixers Bill Higley and Roy Latham have once again teamed with the animation studio to record dialogue and contribute automatic dialogue replacement (ADR) for the feature-length, 3D computer-animated Robots, released nationwide March 11th by 20th Century Fox.
Blue Sky has created the visually spectacular world of whimsical Robots, and a timeless, comedic tale that pushes the boundaries of animation while introducing characters rich with humor and soul, and a heart-warming story which proves that a robot can shine no matter what he is made of.
Directed by Blue Skys Chris Wedge, and co-directed by Carlos Saldanha, Robots, is voiced by Ewan McGregor, Robin Williams, Halle Berry, Mel Brooks and Amanda Bynes, and boasts an ensemble cast which also includes Drew Carey, Jim Broadbent, Paul Giamatti, Jay Leno, Dianne Wiest, Stanley Tucci, and many others.
hsr/ny dialogue mixer Bill Higley shot the basic dialogue and ADR to Digidesign Pro Tools; Roy Latham utilized 2 U87 Microphones, 2 Sony PCM 7040 DAT Machines, 1 Ice Cube camera, Fairlight and ProTools Digital Workstations, and a Soundtracs DPC II Console.
