eSynch's Oxford Media Announces EnhancedDVD-ROM Technology(January 11, 2002)
The technology will enable content owners to consolidate their DVD-ROM replication by putting multiple movies or other content on one DVD-ROM while allowing mobile and other users to purchase and view their own combination of viewing selections using less space to transport more information. eSynch's MediaOffice(TM) DRM technology contributed the security needed to prevent piracy of the content, while a credit card transaction capability integrated into the solution allows the content owner to simplify the payment process.
"Typically a single DVD holds about 2 hours of programming, which was inadequate for a particular clients application. Specific to this clients needs, we developed the capability to compress, encode, author, and secure four full length movies, about 7 hours in total length, onto a single DVD-ROM using eSynch's DRM technology in conjunction with Microsoft(R) Windows Media DRM technology and Microsoft(R) Windows Media(TM) Encoder." said Cliff Hall, President of the Oxford Media division.
"We're happy to see Oxford begin to prove the value of their business. These are the kinds of results we expected when we determined to increase our focus on the Oxford Media asset", said David Lyons, President of eSynch Corporation.
