Virtools, a Dassault Systèmes company, announced today that eRelevant has chosen Virtools Game Development Solution for the development of one of their upcoming titles, World War 2D. The tactical action game will be released on several platforms, including consoles soon to be supported by Virtools.
WW2D will have a unique style, combining photorealistic black and white 2D environments and a highly interactive battlefield where players can control objects, characters and more. A multiplayer version of the game is also planned, with details to be revealed in the future.
"Only Virtools Dev makes it possible to build a game like WW2D: an original title with stunning visuals and gameplay, at competitive cost and on multiple platforms at once. As always, prototyping was a breeze and people's reaction to the game convinced us to move forward. From proof of concept to full game development, Virtools Dev is the only choice," commented Frederic Markus, President of eRelevant.
"We are proud eRelevant once again chose Virtools for this innovative and truly beautiful project," added Virgile Delporte, VP Sales and Managing Director Americas for Virtools. "Building high-quality interactive games in record time is possible thanks to our unique game development framework. We're excited to see eRelevant gearing up to prove it again."
