dvGarage Releases dvMatte Pro 1.5 for FCP

Greenscreen/bluescreen software adds color matching, edge blending By Dave Nagel
dvGarage has released dvMatte Pro 1.5, a bluescreen and greenscreen removal tool, for Apple's Final Cut Pro 4 (previously available for Adobe After Effects). The new version gains workflow enhancements and new color matching features. It's available now for Mac OS X.

dvMatte Pro is designed for keying out footage shot in DV, Beta and HD, with a three-pass keying system engineered to handle artifacts present in such footage. The keyer uses two color difference filters and a hybrid luminance filter. It also offers automatic spill suppression. The new 1.5 release, aside from gaining support for Final Cut Pro 4, also adds new color matching functionality, light wrap and built-in edge blending. It also gains workflow improvements for more simple operation.

dvMatte Pro 1.5 is available now only for Final Cut Pro 4 for an introductory price of $149 through Nov. 11. After that time, it will sell for $199. For more information, visit
