dvGarage Launches ConduitVFX Compositing Tool for Apple Motion (July 11, 2006)
dvGarage, a provider of tools and training for the next generation of media artists, today announced the immediate availability of Conduit, a new visual effects compositing plug-in for Apple Motion 2. By using Apples FXPlug technology to combine high-end nodal compositing with high-performance GPU acceleration, Conduit provides Apple Motion 2 users with a powerful variety of visual effects compositing tools that render in real time. In addition, Conduit is bundled with a free three-month Pixel Corps membership (a USD $200 value), an hour of video training, and a quick start guide.
?Conduits speed is stunning, comments Alex Lindsay, dvGarage founder and chief architect. ?We were looking for something that would allow Motion users to do basic compositing, and we ended up with a plug-in that really changes the way compositors will look at compositing.
Developed in partnership Lacquers Ben Syverson and Pauli Ojali, Conduit was developed to provide Motion users with an entirely new set of compositing tools at an affordable price range.
?dvGarage has an excellent training and support history, which is one of the reasons why we partnered with them, says Pauli Ojali, Conduit co-writer. ?By providing users with training and on-going support, a high-end product like Conduit can now succeed in a wider user market.
Conduits interface allows users to build complex composites while watching their results in real time. A list of Conduits key features is as follows:
* Real-time HD performance
* Film-class color precision
* Flexible node-based workflow
* Artifact-free color manipulation
* Blazing speed
