Zenith Electronics Corporation has expanded its line of LCD projectors while repositioning its line of CRT projectors.

The LWX-150 LCD Home Theater Projector displays images in true widescreen and standard aspect ratios, making it suited for a high- definition Home Theater. Its three 1.2-inch (16:9) PolySi LCD Panels display a true widescreen picture, offering a very bright 1,000 ANSI Lumens of light output, and high-quality 1280 x 720p resolution, and up to SXGA resolution compressed.

The projector performs with HDTV, NTSC, PAL and SECAM video standards. The versatile jack pack includes inputs for Component Video for digital TV and DVD, S-Video and composite video; 15-pin VGA and RS232 inputs for computer graphics and control; and audio inputs and outputs. Available in March 2002, the suggested retail price for the LWX-150 is $6,995.

The LXG-135 ultra-portable LCD Projector, also HDTV compatible, is Zenith's brightest, highest-resolution digital projector. Employing three 0.9-inch PolySi LCD panels and 1,500 ANSI Lumens of light output, it offers 1024 x 768 XGA native resolution, full compatibility with HDTV at 1080i x 720p, and up to UXGA resolution, compressed.

The projector is fully compatible with NTSC, PAL and SECAM video standards. Rear panel connections include S-Video, composite video inputs, a 15-pin VGA input for computer graphics, and an audio input. Additional features include a convenient one-button focus pattern, and a remote control with a built-in laser pointer. The LXG-135 will be available in March 2002 at a price to be announced at a later date.

These two new LCD projectors join Zenith's popular LXG-120 ultra-portable HD-compatible LCD Projector. The LXG-120 offers a projection size up to 300 inches, and full compatibility with HDTV, NTSC, PAL, SECAM, NTSC 4.43, PAL-M, PAL-N, UXGA/SXGA (compressed), SVGA and VGA modes. It carries a suggested retail price of $5,995.

Zenith also is announcing an aggressive price repositioning on two of its popular HD-compatible CRT front projectors. The PRO900X CRT Front Projector will be priced at a suggested price of $7,995, reduced from its current price of $12,000; and the PRO895X Digital Front-Projection Monitor will carry a suggested price of $6,995, reduced from its current price of $9,000.

The PRO900X is ideally suited for high-definition displays in high-end home theaters and commercial applications, from sports bars and restaurants to conference centers and schools, while the PRO895X's high- resolution picture and flexible installation make it an ideal choice for restaurants, bars and other commercial entertainment venues.
Zenith's flagship front projector, the PRO1200X, designed to project crystal-clear video images up to 20 feet in diameter, remains in the line at its current suggested price of $29,995. Featuring 8-inch CRTs and high- definition, liquid-coupled, color-corrected HD215 lenses, the PRO1200X provides images with a resolution up to 1280 x 1024 pixels/70 Hz (data) and 1920 x 1080p (HDTV).
