Who are Z-Systems Audio Engineering?
Z-Systems specializes in the development of leading-edge digital audio interface and signal processing products for the recording, mastering, broadcast and post-production markets. "Our interface products comprise a variety of sample-rate converters intended to fit different needs and budgets," says Z-Systems president Glenn Zelniker, "plus several digital audio routers, switchers, distribution amplifiers and format converters. All of our products are designed to simplify digital audio integration in facilities that incorporate many different digital sources and destinations, and which may require different interface formats and/or sample rates."
Z-Systems also manufactures signal-processing equipment for professional mastering, including two- and six-channel equalization and dynamics processing units. "Our processors are based on proprietary, cutting-edge digital signal processing algorithms," says Z-Systems COO Richard Auerbach, "and feature 24-bit resolution at up to 96 kHz sampling rates. These processors are suitable for no-compromise stereo and surround-sound digital mastering, and deliver unprecedented sonic quality at affordable prices."
Z-Systems has been in business since March, 1993.
"There are two main factors that set Z-Systems apart from our immediate competition," Zelniker considers. "First, we have an unusual level of cutting-edge DSP and design expertise for a company of our size. And, because we are a small company with great design resources at our disposal, we are able to move very quickly from identifying an important market opportunity to putting out a viable product."
"Secondly, we have very close relationships with some of the premier mastering, recording and post-production facilities around the world. In many cases we have worked hand-in-hand with end-users at these facilities to make our products work exactly they way the need to."
