Automatic image re-linking and updating tool (August 11, 2004)

Xinet, Inc. today announced the release of Picture Wrangler for Adobe InDesign CS, Adobes award-winning layout and design software.

Xinets Picture Wrangler is an automatic image re-linking and updating tool that makes working with complicated layouts faster and more efficient. Also available is Picture Wrangler for Adobe Illustrator CS to provide a consistent user experience across applications.

Picture Wrangler is included with FullPress, Xinets advanced suite of production workflow applications that has been leading the industry since its introduction in 1995. FullPress constitutes the workflow backbone for thousands of printing, publishing and advertising customers worldwide. Its companion products, WebNative and WebNative Venture, provide Internet-based collaboration, asset management and database-driven workflow automation.

IO Integration will show these Xinet products at Seybold San Francisco conference, booth# 403, at The Moscone West, August 16 to August 19, 2004.

"We are always looking for ways to speed up production while maintaining quality and Picture Wrangler for InDesign CS does just that," said John Stanley, Prepress System Administrator at Doner Advertising, a large advertising agency outside Detroit. "Picture Wrangler for InDesign CS saves us hours everyday in hunt and peck time looking for placed images. It's a wonderful development."

Picture Wrangler is available in English and German, with a Find File dialogue box available in English, German, Spanish and French.

"Adobe is committed to providing a complete publishing platform for creative professionals to create and deliver content for print and the web faster and more easily than ever," said Mark Niemann-Ross, InDesign Evangelist at Adobe. "Picture Wrangler has been eagerly awaited by InDesign customers in medium- to large-sized workgroups and we are pleased to be working with Xinet to help deliver a high-performance solution."

"Picture Wrangler is a perfect complement to InDesign CS when working in a server-based environment," said Xinet CEO Scott Seebass. "Picture Wrangler allows pre-press operators to quickly move incoming InDesign CS documents into their production environment."
