  (June 08, 2012)

Montreal, Quebec (PRWEB) June 08, 2012

BluffCam (http://www.bluff-cam.com) is a first-of-its-kind poker app that measures the heart rate of poker players, helping them achieve that perfect poker face. The app uses cutting edge Vital Signs Camera technology to detect micro-changes in the color of a players skin, helping gage whether or not they are under pressure mid-game. Designed to allow poker players of all levels to manage their heart rates, BluffCam brings them one step closer to the perfect bluff. The app also allows users to share their results and a screenshot online via Twitter or keep track of their progress in an easy to use notepad.

Unveiled today by WowWee Inc., BluffCam is the first in the series of BluffCam apps. The app is available for $0.99 exclusively on Apples App Store for iPhone 4 and 4S, and iPad 2 and above.

BluffCam will be closely followed by the release of BluffCam: Table Edition. Using the same unique technology, BluffCam: Table Edition will allow poker players to measure and track the heart rates of their opponents. After adding their table of opponents and obtaining their resting heart rates, users will be able to quickly see how their opponents are coping under pressure. Using the apps built in notepad, users will be able to keep track of heart rates and user behavior, watching out for any patterns. Users will also be able to share results and screenshots of any player via Twitter.

BluffCam: Table Edition will retail for $0.99 on Apples App Store.

BluffCam gives players that added edge over their opponents, helping them understand how different poker hands can affect them physiologically, said Sydney Wiseman, Creative Director of BluffCam. Its easy-to-use design and added features like the player notebooks make it the ideal poker companion for anyone looking to stay cool when it counts most.

BluffCam was created with the close support of Echoer Inc. (http://echoer.com), a groundbreaking platform that allows users to share your local experiences, and Integration New Media (inm.com), builders of engaging digital solutions.

The Tech - How it works:
BluffCam uses Vital Signs Camera technology. Your heartbeat causes small changes in the color of your face. These changes are not visible to the eye, but with advanced software iPhone and iPad cameras can detect these micro-blushes to measure your heart rate. Although the concept is simple, calculating parameters, such as heart rate, from real time video images is a major technical challenge. Vital Signs Camera has overcome these challenges using advanced algorithms and expertise in optics, video and signal processing.
