Windows App Store by Nevolution Adds New Software PartnersAppsOnAvenue.com Expands Software Catalogue by Teaming With Major Windows PC Publishers and Developers (September 13, 2011)
WOODLAND HILLS, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 09/13/11 -- Microsoft BUILD conference -- One of the most burning questions at this week's Microsoft BUILD conference (Sept. 13-16 in Anaheim, California) will likely involve the company's plan to incorporate an App Store into its Windows 8 operating system. But as the PC world waits to learn what Windows 8 may include when it's introduced up to a year or more from now, the AppsOnAvenue.com Windows App Store by Nevolution (www.Nevolution.com) is further expanding its catalogue by teaming with a dozen new software partners.
Launched officially on June 29, 2011, Nevolution's App Store enables Windows users to enjoy the full app store experience while shopping for traditional PC software. It consists of the "Avenue" desktop client and the AppsOnAvenue.com online storefront, which together provide a complete digital distribution, acquisition and management platform for all types of Windows software.
"Our goal was to create the first Windows PC app store that provides an experience on-par with what Mac and mobile users currently enjoy," said Nevolution CEO Matt Smith. "After all, why should Windows users have to wait any longer for their own full-service app store?"
Nevolution's new software partners include:

Together, these new partners expand Avenue's catalogue with a range of popular gaming, education and utility software titles. They join Nevolution's previously announced software partners including Iceberg Interactive, 1C Company, N3V Games, IObit and TOPICS Entertainment. The Avenue app store also includes a long list of premium freeware from Google, Adobe, Microsoft, Mozilla, Opera and other leading providers.
To celebrate the latest round of partnerships, Nevolution is launching the AppsOnAvenue.com "Me and My PC" online photo contest. Prizes include premium Windows PC laptop and netbook packages. Anyone can enter the contest via Avenue's Facebook page (www.facebook.com/AppsOnAvenue) by uploading a portrait of themselves with their Windows PC -- the more creative, the better.
