Whaleback Managed Services Adds New 911 Functionality to Improve Emergency ResponseNew Features Enable First Responders to Go Directly to Emergency Location (June 25, 2012)

Whaleback's CrystalBlue Unified Communications Service has the ability to send location information to the PSAP (Public Service Answering Point) including street address, building and specific room numbers to enable emergency responders to go directly to the emergency location faster and easier. Simultaneously as the call is placed, a 911 call notification is sent via email and/or text to internal emergency response teams allowing the internal team to initiate action to save time.
Whaleback's new 911 capabilities include:
- Per phone location designation specific to individual rooms, offices, buildings, and floors for every phone location,
- Phone differentiation when using shared extensions on multiple phones,
- Directed Public Service Answering Point call return to the calling phone,
- Internal 911 call notification to response teams,
- 911 for off-site phones with local and out of area location designations.
