Leading audio software plug-in manufacturer Waves Ltd. is pleased to announce the launch of its new Education and Professional Content Division. Gilad Keren, CEO of Waves Ltd., made the announcement, which signals the continued growth of Waves, as well as the companys commitment to providing the most extensive set of interactive and educational tools to the professional music market.
Under the direction of author and journalist Robert Charles Alexander, as the divisions Marketing Director, the Waves Education and Professional Content Division will publish and distribute educational materials including academic and popular ?how-to books; instructional live-action DVDs; and interactive book/CD packages. It will also conduct educational seminars/workshops and develop websites designed to promote education about audio and sound. In addition, the Education and Professional Content Division will strengthen Waves' relationships with leading audio education institutions. The establishment of the Education and Professional Content Division comes on the heels of Waves introducing its second edition of a CD-based Interactive Course titled Production-Mixing-Mastering with Waves, written by Anthony Egizii.
Professional audio content will be made available in both electronic and printed formats as part of Waves ongoing plan to become a first choice educational resource for the professional music industry. Initially, a series of varied publications are planned including the biography of audio pioneer Michael Gerzon as well as a series of books documenting the history of Waves and its role as the innovator of audio software tools that have since become industry standards. Mr. Alexander will also be responsible for the content and updating of a new website devoted to Michael Gerzon, which will allow industry colleagues and interested parties to share information, documents and photographic material in a forum environment.
Commenting on the new division, Gilad Keren stated: ?The idea for our Education and Professional Content Division was sparked by the overwhelming response to our publication of the Anthony Egizii interactive book/CD titled Production-Mixing-Mastering with Waves, which is now in its second edition. Because of the strong interest in Anthonys book as well as direct feedback from our end users, we saw a need for a dedicated resource to provide educational materials on sound and the audio production process. With Rob spearheading this effort, were set to introduce an array of expert tools to the market. Its a pleasure to welcome Rob as part of the Waves family.
Speaking in Knoxville, Tennessee, following his appointment, Robert Alexander remarked: ?In time, we want Waves to be the de-facto choice for people requiring educational material, historical data and factual sources for those whose interest is professional audio. As part of my commitment to this new and exciting division, I see my position as a worldwide visible link to the interactive multimedia development tools that we are creating here.
