Washington DC HD&IW Code-a-thon: Preventing Obesity

WASHINGTON, DC -- (Marketwire) -- 05/31/12 --

Health 2.0 and Kaiser Permanente will host a coding competition conjunction to develop health care applications that can prevent obesity. During the two-day code-a-thon students and professional technologists will use big data to find creative solutions that prevent obesity and improve health care. The event is free to all developers and prizes awarded will include a $10,000 cash prize sponsored by The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC), entrance to with The Health Data Initiative Forum III: Health Datapalooza, and a pass to the Health 2.0 Annual Fall Conference in San Francisco. The event is part of Washington D.C. Health Data & Innovation Week.
