Walt Disney Internet Group and SK Telecom Enter Into Content Distribution Agreement

Disney to Provide Video, Interactive and Games (December 11, 2001)
Walt Disney Internet Group and SK Telecom Co. Ltd (SKT) have created a content arrangement that will bring Disney Mobile branded wireless content to Korean consumers for the first time via SKT's CDMA network.

Available in early 2002, the Disney Mobile service will be offered on SKT's NATE, wireless and wired integrated Internet portal service. The content will be based on Disney's lineup of classic characters, which include Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Donald Duck, as well as on modern classics, such as Beauty and the Beast, Mulan, and The Lion King.

The Disney Mobile service can be accessed via SKT's NATE service either from mobile handsets or from the desktop. The initial content offerings will be further expanded to include Java utilities and other more advanced content, such as streaming video, as SKT continues to develop its network and handset base.

"South Korea is one of the world's most technologically advanced wireless markets," said Mark Handler, executive vice president and managing director, International, Walt Disney Internet Group. "We are very pleased to establish a relationship with SKT, a market leader with whom we can provide exciting Disney Mobile content to Korean consumers."

"Integrating well-known Disney content into SKT's NATE will allow our customers to enjoy global entertainment content," said Manwon Jung, Vice President, Wireless Internet Business Group, SKT. "We are looking forward to working further with the Walt Disney Internet Group in developing and promoting advanced and innovative multimedia services.
