Pixel Power Ltd. ( announced that WLS-Channel 7 in Chicago, Illinois, utilized two Clarity 500 systems to unveil a whole new on-air look for all of its newscasts. Channel 7 is the market leader in the Chicago area.

The ABC-owned station gave itself a sleek and classy makeover, complete with new openings for its newscasts, new graphics and a new animated take on its familiar logo at the bottom right corner of the screen. While preview and editing windows are presented on the Windows XGA monitor, the system also provides dual SDI preview outputs with key

Ideally suited to both news production and master control promotions, each Clarity 500 channel provides dual real-time live video squeezeback. In addition, the Video Clips option for Clarity 500 provides two channels of uncompressed video and key from an internal video disk array.
