Vocalocity Makes Key Additions to Executive Team

New CFO, CTO and VP of Operations Hires to Help Fuel Vocalocity's Continued Growth (May 05, 2009)

ATLANTA, GA -- (Marketwire) -- 05/05/09 -- Vocalocity, the leading provider of hosted PBX VoIP services and infrastructure applications for small businesses, today announced the hiring of several key executives to build out the company's executive leadership team. Vocalocity's new executives include Don Dysert, Chief Financial Officer (CFO); John May, Chief Technology Officer (CTO); and Liam McElhone, VP of Operations.

All three executives have joined the company over the course of the past few months, as the company continues to install a leadership team that will continue the company's track record of aggressive growth, while strengthening Vocalocity's ability to become a full service Software as a Service (SaaS) provider for small businesses.

About Vocalocity's Executive Hires:

-- Don Dysert brings more than 25 years of finance, accounting, M&A, operations and risk management experience to Vocalocity, and is responsible for the company's administrative functions, including finance, accounting, human resources and legal. He previously served as CFO for Air2Web, Scentric and Marc Global, three privately held, venture-backed software companies. Dysert has also held various financial management positions with Mirant, Scientific-Atlanta, Bank of America and Ernst & Young. He is a CPA and holds a B.S. in Business Administration from California State University, Northridge, and an MBA in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania. -- John May directs all aspects of Engineering for Vocalocity, including software, hardware, network and testing, managing a team of engineers responsible for developing and improving the products and services that maintain Vocalocity's competitive edge. Prior to Vocalocity, May served as the CTO for both Recordant and Witness Systems. Prior to Witness Systems, May worked at Cray Research, a supercomputing company, where he was named president and CEO of one of the company's subsidiaries. May has served in management roles for technology ventures at companies of various sizes, in both Silicon Valley and Atlanta. May's other accomplishments include directing software development for during its first years of operation, and working as a turnaround consultant for both Apple Computer and Lucas Films' Industrial Light and Magic. May received his degree in electrical engineering at the University of Alabama and later taught at the University of California, Berkeley. -- Liam McElhone directs all aspects of service delivery for Vocalocity customers, currently managing the company's product family and customer care operations. Prior to joining Vocalocity, McElhone served as VP of Operations for mindSHIFT Technologies, a leading provider of information technology solutions. While at mindSHIFT Technologies, he led a team of engineers and customer support professionals, and was responsible for delivering a comprehensive suite of technology solutions to businesses in the mid-Atlantic region. During his tenure with the company, mindSHIFT became one of the largest providers of managed services for small to medium sized businesses (SMBs). McElhone previously served as a founder of Global metro Networks, as well as a VP of Business Operations for XO Communications. McElhone graduated with honors from McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.
