VitalStream Announces New MediaOps SDKTo speed development and deployment of customers? Flash Video streams (November 03, 2004)
VitalStream, Inc., a global provider of rich media solutions including integrated content delivery and streaming media services, today announced the availability of a new MediaOps Software Development Kit (SDK) exclusively available to VitalStream customers using the Flash Video Streaming Service.
The new SDK was created to meet the real-world needs of top Internet publishers and media companies with the goal of speeding the development and deployment of Macromedia Flash video over the Internet. The kit features drag-n-drop components with point and click configuration for playlists, ad serve integration and dozens of other enhancements. Other benefits include a lightweight footprint of under 12K, support for Flash Player 6 or higher and integration into VitalStreams industry-leading content delivery network. A variety of sample applications are included in the bundle, exclusively available to VitalStream customers.
?We chose VitalStream MediaOps SDK to speed up the development and deployment of our interactive training program on ethics which will be rolling out to all 37,000 Unisys employees. said Steve Fanelli, Vice President of Creative Media Services of Unisys.
"Macromedia Flash is making tremendous inroads online as more companies want to deliver video more effectively and unobtrusively to their site visitors." said Chris Hock, director of product marketing, Macromedia. "VitalStream has put a tremendous amount of resources into making it easy for customers to get up and running with Flash video, and their roster of name-brand customers shows how their efforts are clearly resonating within the industry."
?Being the first content delivery network to deliver the Flash Video Streaming Service has given us a tremendous advantage over the competition, said Paul Summers, president and chief executive officer of VitalStream, Inc. ?Over the last year, we have gained valuable experience and feedback from our larger customers and Macromedia. Our new MediaOps SDK is a direct result of this teamwork.
In addition to the new drag-n-drop components, advanced developers can take advantage of the first fully-documented Flash media player API to help with their development efforts.
