Visviva Authoring Studio 1.5 to Ship at SIGGRAPH(August 10, 2001)
The Visviva Authoring Studio incorporates image painting, vector drawing and 3D composition in a uniform point-and-click interface. The Visviva Authoring Studio works with Windows 9x, NT, 2000, and ME platforms, and is priced at $799.00.
The Visviva Authoring Studio consists of a suite of six tools for the design and production of complete multimedia applications. This full-service authoring environment allows designers to construct create 3D worlds, vector graphics, images, and animation for immediate use in their interactive projects.
All of the design tools in the Visviva Authoring Studio offer common tools, menus, palettes, and keyboard shortcuts within a single document window. This shortens the learning curve and help users work more efficiently.
The integration available in the Visviva Authoring Studio is made possible with an object-oriented design environment that contains over 400 different types of pre-set objects. A rich set of functions and attributes contained in each object provides a vast amount of control over object behaviors.
The Visviva Authoring Studio can also import, edit and export many different types of commonly used file formats, including 3DS, VRML, AVI, MOV, and others. Finished projects can be captured as animation files, exported to web pages, or copied onto CD-ROM and run as complete applications with the Visviva Animation Engine, a free graphics engine included with the Visviva Authoring Studio.
The VAS 1.5 Release will contain advanced objects that are specifically designed to speed up the creation of presentations. These objects include FileBrowsers for web pages, PageLoaders for hyperlinked files, and PageControl objects for slideshows with advanced 3D animation. These advanced objects will be demonstrated during Visviva Software's SIGGRAPH Exhibitor Forum presentation on Wednesday, August 15 from 1 to 3 PM.
