Visual Network Design Appoints Daniel Tautges VP of Biz DevFormer Micromuse, Lucent executive to lead sales for Rackwise product (October 20, 2005)
Visual Network Design, a leader in network design automation, today announced the appointment of Daniel J. Tautges, Jr. to the position of vice president of business development. Mr. Tautges will develop value-added customer programs and strategic alliances that will expand the delivery of the company’s Rackwise product family. Mr. Tautges will focus on large customers and partners that can leverage the company’s core Rackwise technology for automated design, visualization, documentation and control of large equipment racks for data-center and facilities management. Tautges will lead the company’s sales efforts in a number of core markets including: telecommunications, financial, education, health care, government, and military.
Previously, Tautges was senior vice president of sales and market operations for Micromuse’s (Network Harmoni) software and services business. He also served as vice president of worldwide channel sales for Lucent Technologies’ AG Communications Systems division. He will be based at Visual Network Design’s Burlingame, California headquarters.

Tautges holds an M.B.A. from National University in San Diego, California and a B.S. in Business Administration and B.A. in Psychology from San Diego State University.
