ViewSonic Ships PJ250 Projector

Portable projector weighs 2.2 pounds, offers XGA resolution By Dave Nagel
ViewSonic has begun shipping its new PJ250 projector. The PJ250 is a DLP-based ultraportable device weighing in at 2.2 pounds but offering features found in larger projectors, such as XGA resolution and a 2,000:1 contrast ratio. It's available now.

The PJ250 offers a resolution of 1,024 x 768 with a brightness of 1,000 lumens. (The lamp itself is rated for 2,000 hours.) It includes inputs for RGB, DVI (optional), composite and S-video and supports standard and various HD signals, up to 1,080i. Other features include digital keystone correction, picture in picture, front and rear projection and 10 user modes.

The PJ250 sells for $2,499 and comes equipped with a power cable, SVI adapter, D-sub to DVI cable, composite and S-video cables, a lens cap and soft carrying case. For more information, visit
