VertigoXmedia's Creative Services Division Wins BDA AwardsWins in News, Out-of-House, and Informational Graphics categories (June 27, 2005)
VertigoXmedia, a leading provider of graphics software and hardware, today announced that its Creative Services Division swept the News, Out-of-House, Informational Graphics category of the 2005 BDA North America Design Awards. The creative team's election package for GlobalTV garnered a gold while its election package for CTV received a silver award. No other firm qualified in this category. Vertigo's Creative Services Division is world-renowned for its expertise in creating and executing design concepts in the most demanding television broadcasts for news, sports, and, of course, elections.
"Our Creative Services team has done exceptional work creating 2D and 3D broadcast graphics for many of our clients, including assisting many major networks with coverage of high-profile events," said Anton Maximovsky, chief creative officer and head of the Creative Services Division at VertigoXmedia. "Winning an award from the BDA is such an honor because it validates the originality and skill of our creative team and the exceptional work they have done in translating our clients' design objectives into effective and eye-catching graphics."
Vertigo's Creative Services designed complete election graphics packages for both GlobalTV and CTV for the national elections held in Canada in 2004. Within a very tight time frame, Creative Services crafted designs based on the customer's specific requirements and optimized them for use with Vertigo's own broadcast graphics hardware, the VertigoCG, launched in 2004. Vertigo's Xmedia Suite was the content management system driving the on-air graphics. The team also worked on the 2004 presidential elections in the United States.
