Vendors to Visit in Vegas: Telestream

Get ready to make your Mac encoding pipeline even more streamlined By Ko Maruyama
Every year, broadcasters of all kinds gather in Las Vegas to see the new gear offered by the vendors who support the creation and transmission of what you watch and listen to.  If you're a podcast producer, one of the pieces of software you probably have in your Mac pipeline is the Episode or Episode Pro series.

One of the most important things about Telestream's Flip4Mac and Episode software is that it allows you to get your video and audio out to your server quickly and easily.  Episode helps you get multi-format distribution easily - - even formats that are PC based.  You can also get great HD encoding out to your video distribution through your Mac.

Now, with the addition of Apple's Final Cut Server, and the ability to automate transcoding and dissemination duties, Episode will be even easier to use without even necessarily "manning" it.  Final Cut Server software can take over many of your daily/hourly routines, freeing you up to take on other creative responsibilities.

Although Apple's Final Cut Server is now shipping, it might not be something that you'll have in your workflow by the time you fly out this weekend to Las Vegas to attend the NAB convention.  Visiting the Telestream booth is a great way to see the server software (and client software) in action, and get some new ideas for how you might encode your data.

You should also check out the Pipeline Network video capture system that Telestream offers as well.

NOTE: EPISODE VERSION 4 IS ALREADY OUT.  I only have the Episode Version 3 logo - -but for now, I'll use a temporary logo.  heheheh... Hey guys, we're ready for a new Episode and Episode Pro logo!  :)

You can check out the company at NAB in booth SL5405.  Although Apple will not be at the NAB Expo show floor, you can find Apple's Final Cut Server in action in the Telestream booth.  Ask for a demo to see how it will fit into your Telestream workflow.
