Vehicle on runway prompts Philly airport closure

Vehicle on runway prompts brief closure of Philadelphia International Airport By The Associated Press

PHILADELPHIA (AP) ' The Federal Aviation Administration says Philadelphia International Airport has reopened after flights were halted because a vehicle drove on to a runway.

The FAA says the airport shut down for about 35 minutes Thursday morning after the vehicle drove on to the tarmac.

Two of the airport's four runways had reopened by noon.

A phone message left for an airport spokeswoman was not immediately returned. Philadelphia police didn't immediately have details about what had transpired.
