UK Retail Mobile Sites Top World Keynote Rankings With Marks & Spencer Taking #1 Spot

Usablenet Platform Powers 3 of the Top 4 Mobile Sites, All While Delivering Over 400 Million Pages to 25 Million Users via 250 Mobile Sites in the Same Week Period (November 29, 2011)

LONDON -- (Marketwire) -- 11/29/11 -- Usablenet, the global technology leader in mobile and multichannel engagement, announced today that its platform powers 3 of the top 4 mobile commerce sites in the world, as identified by Keynote Systems' Mobile Retail Index World Edition for the week ending November 27. The cloud monitoring authority tests for average response times, success rates, and download speed of the homepage in wireless networks around the globe.

Marks & Spencer places in the top spot, clocking at 4.86 seconds for load time with a 100% success rate. This is remarkably higher than the average index of 9.55 seconds and 92.72% success rate. Tesco takes the 3rd spot with 5.88 seconds and 100% success rate, followed by Next with 4.97 seconds and 98.85% success.

During the same week period ending November 27, the platform served up 400 million pages to 25 million users via its 250 mobile sites around the world -- all without sacrificing speed and reliability.

"Keynote's report shows how UK retailers are leading the way in mobile commerce globally, and we're proud to partner with powerful brands committed in bringing best-in-class multichannel solutions to their customers," says Usablenet CEO Nick Taylor.

Usablenet is one of the driving forces behind mobile commerce in UK and Europe, with several recent launches of mobile sites and apps. In addition to Marks & Spencer, Tesco and Next, it also powers other top UK brands such as John Lewis, ASOS, Boots, and Mothercare.
