UCLA and USC Graduates Launch The Movie Scene

(July 20, 2001)
On July 23, 2001 a dynamic new movie web site will be launched. The Movie Scene ( is a web site with the world's most powerful associative and interactive database about movie scenes.

Created by graduates of the UCLA and USC film schools, The Movie Scene
enables film enthusiasts and industry professionals alike to sort, classify and organize movie scenes in countless variations.

Until now, a movie scene was an abstract idea. There was no practical
method to locate a specific scene, nor any method to associate a particular scene with others of the same type. The Movie Scene changes that.

The Movie Scene launches with thousands of great movie scenes reviewed, including the major scenes from movies in current release. It is formatted to allow members to create or improve the database records of great movie scenes in a matter of minutes. The records identify the actors, characters, location, quotes, key words and other essential data of great movie scenes.

More than a search engine, The Movies Scene is a lively place for
discussion about movies. The Movie Scene lists the hottest scenes and
characters in current release and gives members the chance to vote on their favorite scenes.

The Movie Scene is a free site for users and members, but requires
membership to access its more advanced features.

Richard Coats, the managing editor of The Movie Scene, is a graduate of the UCLA film school. Vicente Blanco and Darryl Fox are associate editors and graduates of the USC film school.
