Two Minute Product Profile: Big VooDoo PIP

Keywest Technologies is targeting corporate television, video conferencing, corporate lobby kiosks, electronic signage, distance learning and more with its Big VooDoo picture in picture video inserter. The BVPIP lets you combine video with text and you can fade in and out, freeze frame and freeze field. The inserter has a built-in video mixing mixer, and gives ten presets, and you can control brightness, contrast, saturation, hue, horizontal phase and sub-carrier phase.

It has front panel push-button control and you can have ten presets. The unit has genlock timing controls for color sub-carrier and horizontal phase.

The picture-in-picture inserter accepts one NTSC (SMPTE 170M) or PAL (ITU
624-4) video input, a Y/C video signal, and an NTSC or PAL genlock signal
and outputs one NTSC or PAL signal with the combined insert and background
video and a key signal for post production work.

The Big VooDoo PIP is priced at $1,495, and comes with a two year parts and labor warranty and 24/7 technical support.
