Twelve-Year-Old, Logan Pazol, Helps Others Battle Cancer by Battling Fighting Donuts with iPhone App

  (January 03, 2012)

Upton, MA (PRWEB) January 03, 2012

A twelve-year-old Massachusetts boy, Logan Pazol, has designed and programmed a game for iPhones, iPads and the iPod touch to raise money to fight cancer. Every penny of the proceeds goes directly to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital ( to research and treat childrens cancer.

My grandmother died of cancer, Logan said, and there are still too many people dying from cancer. Its got to stop. I couldnt help her but I want to help others not lose their loved ones.

In Logans App, Donut Fighter, the player squares off against a donut with pink frosting and sprinkles that towers five feet ten inches tall. The joystick lets the player move around to evade the donuts attacks. Every time the player lands a punch or kick , he or she accrues valor points. When the donut deals a successful hit or kick, it scores points. Whoever reaches 100 valor points first wins the round. No second chances the player must beat the donut in order to compete in the next round. Logan is completely self taught and had no prior programming experience..

Why a donut? Logan shrugged. I was playing another game with donuts and, because my brother does karate, I thought, why not combine the two?

Dont get overly confident if the first few rounds seem easy. The donut will adjust to a players fighting style and the rounds get progressively more difficult. To win, the player must beat the donut in ten straight rounds. Think you can do it?

Logan has a message for everyone who purchases his App: I want to sell 10,000 Donut Fighter Apps by March 2012. So, thanks to everyone for helping me fight cancer. And good luck beating the giant donut!

Help Logan fight cancer by going to the App Store, search for Donut Fighter and purchase it for only 99 cents. Anyone can also make a donation by purchasing a copy from iTunes even if they do not own an iPhone, iPod or iPad. Logan can be reached at Logan2299(at)yahoo(dot)com. Please 'like' Jimmy Donut at
