TutuTix Launches iPhone Ticket Scanner App for Dance Studios

The app, available as a free download from the iTunes App Store, will provide a quick, efficient, low-cost way for dance studio operators to verify and redeem tickets for dance performances.

TutuTix Chief Marketing Officer, Eric Housh, said the scanning app was driven by client feedback. Last year, when we announced the launch of free e-tickets and smart phone tickets, we immediately heard concerns around ticket redemption. Specifically, how would studio staff quickly be able to tell if the ticket was valid, and for the correct performance? We had existing hardware solutions in place, but they were a bit cost prohibitive for most studios. The iOS app solves that problem. Now, any studio with access to an iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad can have a state of the art ticket scanning solution.

Housh also shared that the company recently received an A Plus rating from the Better Business Bureau, and scored 100% customer satisfaction for 2012. We survey each of our clients after their event is complete, and overwhelmingly our clients are telling us that were doing a great job, he said. The surveys also help the company learn which potential new features clients are most interested in. Housh said the company looks at this data to inform their product development roadmap. Two of the upcoming features on our roadmap are the ability to select specific seats online, and the ability to sell merchandise such as yearbooks along with event tickets two features highly requested by our clients.
