Turbosquid TimeTentacles Right Now
Turbosquid has been around for a long time, offering all kinds of 3D support. In its earliest days, we used it to purchase many models that we didn't have time to produce ourselves. The opportunity to purchase in several formats makes the most sense to many studios. And if you find a specific model that you'd like in a different format than those offered, some model providers can accommodate those requests.
Later, the Turbosquid site started to offer tutorials on some of it's most popular software support (Maya, MAX). Recently the massive 3D and texture vendor started to offer plugin and software sales as well. The latest project from Turbosquid is Tentacles - allowing us to reach into the enormous library of resources (and allowing Turbosquid to deposit the results seamlessly back into our workflow).
