Tungle Announces Enhanced Version of Tungle.me Click-to-Meet Scheduling; Allows Professionals to Delegate Scheduling to Their Personal Tungle.me PageTungle.me users can personalize their page by choosing days/times they want to make available, adding contact information, photo, links to other online profiles (December 02, 2009)
MONTREAL, CANADA -- (Marketwire) -- 12/02/09 -- Editors note: A video and a photo are included with this press release on Marketwire's website.
Tungle.me is the first click-to-meet technology giving users a personalized scheduling page where contacts can see a user's availability and quickly schedule a meeting by proposing multiple meeting times -- without having to sign up for Tungle. When the meeting is booked, both individuals get a meeting confirmation and their calendars are automatically updated.
The latest enhancements include the following:
- Customized Availability: Users can select the days/time slots they wish to make available for meetings on their Tungle.me pages. For example, you could set only 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Thursday as available if you preferred no interruptions during lunch hours or on Fridays and weekends. In addition, users can optionally sync their calendars with Tungle to have the available timeslots dynamically updated when new events are added to their calendar.
- Personalization: A profile bar enables users to customize their personal page by uploading a personal photo and adding contact information, links to other online profiles (LinkedIn, Twitter, Blogs and more) and a personal note to visitors.
According to Marc Gingras (http://tungle.me/marc), chief executive officer and founder of Tungle, "Tungle.me is absolutely the fastest and easiest way to set up a one-on-one meeting. After all, what could be easier than sharing a single URL in an email thread, Skype chat or Twitter exchange with others so they can click to request meeting times to meet with you? It completely eliminates the back and forth most of us have experienced when two busy people try to find common time to meet."
How People Use Tungle.Me
The Tungle.me feature has taken off with business users because of the efficiency it brings to their business. Professionals in small businesses, sales professionals, virtual assistants, journalists - in fact, anyone who has the need to set up occasional or frequent meetings and hates wasting time doing so - can appreciate the simplicity of Tungle.me.
Andy Traub, CEO of MoreProfitTechnology.com, said, "I have found Tungle to be the most effective and important tool in my business other than having an Internet connection."
And that effectiveness has clear benefits to businesses that want to make themselves more accessible to clients. As Michael Reynolds, president and CEO of Spinweb.net noted, "It makes us very easy to do business with."
Other Free Tungle Offerings
Tungle.me is an extension of Tungle's flagship product, Tungle Accelerate, which gives professionals the control and flexibility to propose multiple times in meeting invitations, publish their availability, invite others to book meetings with them and share calendars across companies, platforms and time zones without giving up their existing e-calendars. As a result, users report spending significantly less time and effort setting up meetings. Based on user statistics, Tungle estimates that they save 15 minutes for each meeting scheduled.
Tungle supports Outlook, Gmail, iCal, Entourage, and soon Lotus Notes. The company also recently introduced Tungle for iPhone, which is the only application that allows users to schedule meetings while on the go. In addition to allowing users to create, send and respond to meeting invitations and share calendars on-the-go, Version 1.1, recently made available in the App Store, offers the ability to shake their iPhones to find a common time for everyone.
Individuals can sign up for their free personal Tungle.me URL at http://www.tungle.com/Home/Publish.htm. Setting up a personal calendar web page takes less than five minutes and can be shared via email, IM or Twitter; availability can also be shown using a widget on blogs, Facebook profiles or on other social networking sites such as Ning and Xing.
Tungle, the maker of the first web-based calendar accelerator, gives your calendar the flexibility and accessibility it's lacking today. Working hand-in-hand with traditional e-calendars, it allows professionals to be connected, productive, mobile and in control through cross-platform and cross-company sharing and scheduling capabilities. Tungle currently integrates with Outlook, Google Calendar, Apple iCal and Entourage for Mac.
Founded in 2006, the Montreal based company is venture-backed by investors Commonwealth Capital Ventures, JLA Ventures, and Desjardins Venture Capital.
