TroikaTronix Releases Isadora for Mac

Software offers multimedia control for live performances By Dave Nagel
TroikaTronix has released Isadora 1.0 for the Macintosh platform. Isadora is an authoring tool for providing interactive control for digital media, geared especially toward video processing for live performances. It's available now for Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X.

Isadora 1.0 is a real-time video and multimedia manipulation tool. Previously available only for Windows, the new Mac version includes AltiVec-specific performance optimizations and also brings support for the FreeFrame video plugin standard. Isadora imports QuickTime, AVI and Flash; various still image formats; and AIFF, WAV and SD2 audio formats. Features include live viseo input, multiple video outputs (up to four), the ability to record output to the QUickTime format, multi-channel sound output and support for customized modules and UI elements.


Isadora 1.0 is available now for Mac OS 9, Mac OS X and Windows for $350 for the full version, $275 for educational licenses. A demo version is also available. For more information, visit http://www.troikatronix.com.
