Trillium Lane Announces MasterMeter for Pro Tools

DSP-based software designed to reduce digital clipping By Dave Nagel
Trillium Lane has announced TL MasterMeter for Digidesign Pro Tools. MasterMeter is a digital meter for identifying potential intersample peaks. It will be available in August for Mac OS X.

MasterMeter digitally models the digital to analog conversion process in consumer CD players to allow engineers to identify potential intersample peaks and to help avoid digital clipping resulting from peaks that exceed 0 dB. It offers 2x, 4x and 8x oversampling DSP models and displays both regular and intersample peaks, while also providing a historical peak list to identify peaks anywhere in a Pro Tools session. Peak lists can be saved to the clipboard for later review.

TL MasterMeter will be available in August for Pro Tools 6 on Mac OS X. It runs $199 alone and will also be available in a bundle with TL Metro and TL InTune for $349. A free seven-day demo will also be available. For more information, visit
