This week, see how a growing percentage of U.S. studios and facilities are using networked attached storage in their production workflows.
Fact: 16% of U.S. studios/facilities have networked attached storage (NAS) in use at their primary facilities.
Why should you care?
As a category, storage continues to boom as file sizes continue to grow faster than U.S. waistlines. Although NAS is currently used by 16% of U.S. studios, almost one in three FX/animation studios use NAS as do 24% of the broadcast/cable studios, 22% of post houses and 18% of corporate studios. Overall, half of the studios with 50+ employees currently use NAS.
