Fact: 39% of U.S. audio recording/mixing studios are planning to buy one or more digital audio workstations (DAWs) in 2004. This number is up 5% from a year ago.

Why should you care?
Of the 39% planning to buy, almost one in five audio recording/mixing studios (18%) plan to spend more than $5000. Oh? if youre curious, 42% of theses studios with 1 to 9 employees plan this investment. Nearly three-fourths of these DAW purchases will be Macs. Wondering about music/audio software? Seven out of ten (69%) of the U.S. audio recording/mixing studios plan this buy in 2004.
