Toshiba Ships TLP-791 Projector

Portable unit offers XGA resolution, 3,000 ANSI lumens By Dave Nagel
Toshiba has started shipping the TLP-791, a new model in the company's line of portable projectors. The new unit combines the functions of a digital projector and a document camera. It's available now.

The 11-pound TLP-791 offers a brightness of 3,000 ANSI lumens, a contrast ratio of 400:1 and a resolution of 1,024 x 768. The integrated document camera offers a resolution of 1,392 X 1,040 and is designed for demonstrating 3-D objects and photographs without having to scan them into a computer. Other features of the new model include:

  • DVI connectivity;
  • Two-way digital keystone correction;
  • Picture in picture;
  • Annotation capabilities;
  • Includes integrated data, video and audio capabilities;
  • Noise level of 38 dBA;
  • Passive loopthrough capabilities for an external monitor.
