Toshiba Introduces TDP-S2V DLP Projector

1,300 ANSI Lumens, Price Under $2,500 (August 29, 2001)
Toshiba Imaging Systems introduced the TDP-S2V Digital Projector with Texas Instruments Digital Light Processing technology, debuting with an MSRP of $2,499.

The new TDP-S2V replaces Toshibaıs TDP-S2 projector, introduced two years ago, and offers many of that projectorıs design advancements as legacy features, including its highly-portable form factor (6.7 lbs.) and heavy-duty 1,300 ANSI lumens brightness.

The TDP-S2V incorporates Texas Instruments Digital Light Processing (DLP) to achieve high-contrast and rich displays that rival the quality of traditional LCD projectors. DLP also makes it possible for the projector to provide outstanding brightness output and an uncompromising contrast ratio of 500:1 despite a small footprint.

TDP-S2V incorporates multiple input connectors, a zoom lens and remote control capability. The four inputs (RGB, NTSC, S-video and audio) make for trouble-free integration of different presentation signals. The TDP-S2V has True SVGA resolution (800 x 600), and is compatible with XGA (compressed), SVGA, VGA and Macintosh.

Other significant features of the projector include auto synchronization, auto tracking, auto positioning, auto source detection, auto black/white detection, proportional digital keystone correction, and 1080i and 720p HDTV compatibility.

The TDP-S2V measures 3.9 (H) x 10.9 (W) x 11.2 (D) inches. Accessories include a soft travel case, analog cable; NTSC video cable; audio connection cable; and wireless remote control/mouse.

Toshiba backs the TDP-S2V with an exclusive two-year warranty on parts and labor, as well as a 90-day warranty on the 270-watt SHP lamp. It is available through the web site or by calling 1-800-316-0920.
