Toshiba Drops Digital Camera Prices

3.2 megapixel camera falls below $400 By Dave Nagel
Toshiba brought down the prices of two of its high-resolution digital cameras today. These include the PDR-M71 and the PDR-M81. In addition, Toshiba is offering a free Photo Kit to purchasers, which Toshiba says is worth $100.

The PDR-M71 is Toshiba's 3.2 megapixel digital camera. Its price has been cut by 20 percent, down to $399. The PDR-M81 is the company's 4.2 megapixel model. The PDR-M81 is Toshiba's flagship digital camera. It gets a $100 reduction in price through a mail-in rebate, which brings the price down to $599.

In addition, Toshiba is offering a free Photo Kit to those who purchase either model or the PDR-M21. The Photo Kit includes an extra 32 MB SmartMedia card, SmartMedia case, camera bag and four Energizer e2 Lithium Photo Batteries.
