Three big cheers for Open-Source and Free software! And its not just about the price; its about free exchange, its about contributing, itís about pro-active co-creation. Its about making really useful and focused tools rather than commercialised bloat-ware. Dont get me wrong, most of the tools I use everyday and rely on are commercial expensive ones and the open-source model may not work for all endevours. But what is most certainly clear is the profound impact open-source sensibilities are having on large commercial software developers.
