TicketNetwork(R) Offers Extensive Range of Historical Data for Super Bowl XLVI Tickets

Statistics Suggest Decline in Ticket Prices Compared to 2011 (January 20, 2012)

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT -- (Marketwire) -- 01/20/12 -- TicketNetwork®, the leading online ticket exchange for events and innovative technology solutions provider for both ticket buyers and sellers, today announced that prices for Super Bowl tickets sold on its online ticket exchange have trended down slightly compared to 2011.

So far this season, consumers have paid an average price of $2,836 per ticket, down from last season's average of $2,946. With large markets, including New York and Boston, having teams in competition to play in the Super Bowl in 2012, that downward trend could change after this weekend's Conference Championship games.

"The statistics derived from our online ticket exchange, which is representative of most tickets available on the secondary ticket market, demonstrates that market dynamics and competition online have pushed ticket prices downward this year," said Don Vaccaro, CEO. "Ultimately, ticket prices to the game in Indianapolis will be determined by consumer demand and the popularity of the two yet to be determined teams that will eventually make it to the Super Bowl."

In addition to standard game tickets, consumers can also find tickets for admission to Super Bowl parties, VIP packages, suites, and parking passes for the big game, which takes place at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN, on February 5th.
