OGDEN, Utah (AP) ' A funeral is under way in Utah for a police officer shot and killed in a gunfight that left five other officers and a suspected pot-grower injured.
Thousands of uniformed officers joined family and friends in memorializing 30-year-old Ogden police officer Jared Francom at an arena at Weber State University.
Another Ogden officer, Shawn Grogan, was brought to the arena in an ambulance. Grogan was one of five officers wounded in the Jan. 4 raid at the Ogden home of Matthew David Stewart.
City officials plan a 90-minute procession to the Ogden City Cemetery, where Francom will be buried.
Weber County Attorney Dee Smith says he's preparing charges of aggravated murder, marijuana cultivation and attempted aggravated murder against Stewart. The Army veteran was shot by police and remains hospitalized.
